I am excited about having a position on Sheoak Grove Primary School's inaugural school board. With the appointment of Sheoak Grove's Independent Public School status I understand the opportunities that are available to us as a school and community and the potential benefits this will ultimately deliver to our students. I am looking forward to the opportunity to aid in the direction the school goes in its first but most important years.
My wife and I are active members of the new P&C at Sheoak Grove as we were at Baldivis Primary School. and intend on continuing our commitment to the school for years to come. I have two foundation day students attending Sheoak Grove, in year one and year five. I believe it is important to demonstrate to them that we have an active interest in the school and their education. Along with this, I believe I have an insight into what most parents want from the board and ultimately the school as a whole.
I have a good relationship with other parents and can draw from this in communicating and creating a bridge between the school, its families and the wider community.
I bring a set of skills that I think will be beneficial to the school from my automotive engineering background and more recently in business management and leadership. I am currently the director of a successful company with a great team of employees. I look forward to using these skills and knowledge to support the strategic development of Sheoak Grove Primary School
